Account Manager

SUMMARY: Responsible for managing all sales activities within assigned accounts and handling inbound and outbound phone calls with respect to minimum SMITH KPIs, core values, and competencies


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage sales, service, and customer relations on assigned and/or awarded accounts with the 5-step process
• Stay current on SMITH product knowledge, sales practices and messages, and improve skill set to capture new lead opportunities and art of persuading non users and competitor’s accounts to buy the better SMITH brand
• Use the Removal Analysis to build pipeline of opportunities and promote the brand and up-sell on their need analysis to have current equipment and adequate stock levels for upcoming and future projects
• Prepare and deliver approved estimates and sales orders to lead or customer within 24 hrs and identify and resolve prospect or customer concerns within 48 hours and follow up to build raving fan network
• Execute approved SMITH campaigns and report back findings to improve results
• Record and communicate market conditions, performance data on service life of cutters, machines, drums, and components, prospect/customer need projections, new product service opportunities, and customer feedback in CRM, Basecamp, and at L10 sales team meetings


KNOWLEDGE AND MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three-years experience in sales and/or customer support operations
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Basic reading and arithmetic skills required
• Compatibility with SMITH Company Core Values
• Good computer and typing skills with knowledge of CRM and sales software programs
• Understanding of proper telephone sales etiquette and use of standard telemarketing operations


TRAVEL AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing and office environment. Work hours are from 8:30 a.m. To 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Work may require coming into the office early or staying late for training and/or servicing customers. Evening and weekend work with travel to industry events, training opportunities, and customer facilities will be required.
