All rotary machines, ride-on and self-propelled machines come standard with a parking brake. The walk-behind drum-style machines do not require a brake.
The purchase of an additional parking brake is not recommended for these machines, since it is a best practice to never leave a machine unattended with the engine running. Instead of a parking brake, always turn the machine off and lower the drum assembly to serve as a brake. When the operator returns, the drum can be quickly raised and the engine re-started. This practice prevents accidents.
