Can use both the drum and rotary-type cutters on the SMITH FS300 for concrete floors?

The SMITH FS300 is a heavy-duty manual scarifier available in gas or electric power that uses a drum-style cutter system only.

The SMITH FS300 is ideally suited for removing existing coatings, overlay and failed floor systems through a heavy scarification process with Flail-it cutters (coarse set-up) to achieve an SP6 - SP9 profile. These profiles are ideally suited when you want to install a repair material or new floor or surface overlay.

If you are installing a coating system, replace the cutter drum with a Flail-it cutter (fine set-up) for an SP4 - SP6 profile. For finer profiles when installing coatings, use the SMITH X-Series (LNX8, X1 or X3) rotary eraser with an Erase-it fine cutter spindle assembly.

For polishing applications, use the SMITH X-Series Grind-it diamond puck assembly, or a traditional single or multi-head grinder.
